Quality Hotels for the Autosport International at the NEC in Birmingham

Enthusiasts for certain sports and genres will look forward to certain annual events. For football fans, it’s normally the FA Cup final in May. For Anime fans, it may well be Kitacon, whilst for UK based tennis fans it’s usually the two wet weeks at the end of June when Wimbledon takes place. However, for motorsport enthusiasts the annual event that is a must to attend (next to the Silverstone Grand Prix) will soon be upon us at the NEC Birmingham and if you’re one of the lucky ones who has tickets, why not look into staying at one of the most prestigious hotels Birmingham, to make the most of the event.

For the last eleven years, the Autosport International has whipped petrol heads based in the UK into a frenzy, as some of the industry’s leading manufacturers, teams and drivers converge onto the NEC for four days.

For those that are fortunate enough to have tickets to the event, whether it is for the trade and press days at the start of the event, or for the hugely popular public days on the 15th and 16th January 2011, the best way to enjoy the event it to get their before the doors open, which is only possible if you stay in stunning hotels Birmingham.

Here at the Windmill Village, we are in the prime location to get to the NEC nice and early, as we’re situated just off the A45 in Allesley, a short drive away from the NEC. Our hotel accommodation boasts over 100 newly refurbished rooms, which offer the ultimate in comfort and luxury as you relax following a day on your feet.

For those who are visiting the Autosport International show as part of business, our hotel, as one of the more modern hotels Birmingham, offers Wi-Fi throughout, which is free in public areas – allowing you to get your show reviews to the office that night. We also offer a 20m pool, along with sauna and steamroom for you to relax and unwind in.

Fun Places for Eating Out in Birmingham

With the smell of a bacon sandwich drifting through the office air at lunchtime, many people’s thoughts will turn to what they’re going to eat that evening. Chances are the thought of getting home after eight hours plus at work, finding the right ingredients and clattering the pots and pans around the kitchen as you attempt to cook up something both filling and nutritional will seem less than appealing. So why go through the hassle, why not treat yourself and your loved ones by eating out at our relaxed and homely Cellar Bar restaurant?

That perfect restaurant is somewhere which from the moment you walk in from the cold grabs all your senses – from the smell of the glorious food coming from the kitchen, to the sights of the dining area and food, whilst not coming across as being too stuffy. Here at Cellar Bar, we feel that we’ve got the balance just right.

We don’t just provide delicious food which will tickle your taste-buds and get your juices flowing as you anticipate each tender mouthful. The food our chefs lovingly prepare includes types of homemade dishes we remember fondly from our childhood, such as homemade steak pie with chunky chips, followed by bread and butter pudding with custard.

Along with the homemade food and the homely atmosphere which includes television screens to entertain you, when the neighbouring golf course is empty why not enjoy the views from the snug and cosy sofas. We’re also perfectly situated within one of the area’s best hotels should you not fancy the drive home afterwards.

Unlike a lot of the restaurants in the nearby towns, here at the Cellar Bar we believe that eating out should be an experience you can take your time over, which is why we provide you with the food, drink and relaxed atmosphere for as long as you want to stay.

4 Great Restaurants in Birmingham

We are forever reading about how important it is to have a stable diet, to eat the right foods etc. In-fact one of Britain’s most loved authors Virginia Woolf once said of the importance of food “One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.” Here at Fairways Restaurant, we certainly agree with Ms Woolf, which is why we have a superb selection of excellent, fresh dishes at our restaurant Birmingham to get the taste buds tingling, the juices flowing and the stomach growling.

Whatever type of food you fancy, from fine dining with an extensive choice of wines  and champagnes at the Regency Restaurant through to bar and grill food at Houston’s Bar and Grill or the Cellar Bar, with us you’ll find just the thing to sooth your appetite and treat your senses. For those who have spent their Sunday out at one of the nearby attractions, we also have an excellent Sunday lunch menu which includes a range of carvery options.

Our kitchen creates succulent dishes which tickle all senses. The smell of roast chicken with dauphinoise potatoes wafting through the air mixes with the sweet smell of a cooling white chocolate and raspberry tart and is bound to get your nostrils twitching and your stomach rumbling. Our pan fried seam bream, finished with fish bisque will make your eyes bulge in delight – especially when lovingly prepared by our well travelled and well respected head chef.

Unfortunately, no matter how hard we try, it’s impossible to tell you how good the food we have available in our range of restaurant Birmingham is – words honestly cannot do justice to the masterpieces that our team of skilful chefs create in the kitchen. We believe the only way to find out how good our food and drink is, is to come and pay us a visit.

This year’s awards were organised by Coventry’s promotional body CV One and held in conjunction with a number of leading local partners, including Coventry City Council, Coventry University and BBC Coventry and Warwickshire.

The award means that our hotel has been found to represent the very best in Midland’s accommodation, which is quite a commendable achievement. We were selected from amongst many nominees, including hotels in Coventry, Nuneaton, Solihull, Leamington Spa, Kenilworth and Stratford- upon Avon.

Criterion for the award included the quality of the accommodation itself as well as the level of service delivered to guests. Our hotel, situated on the site of a 16th Century mill, also offers world class conference venue facilities and a popular golf and leisure club.

Having been fortunate enough to win, we’re now renewing our commitments to a perpetually high standard of accommodation and unparalleled customer service. With a view to building upon this success, we look forward to next year’s awards and urge potential guests to pay us a visit during the coming year.
